The 2018 FIFA World Cup was the 21st FIFA World Cup. It was held in Russia from 14th June to 15th July 2018. The tournament is held once every four years.

The final took place on 15th July at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, between France and Croatia. France won the match 4–2 to claim their second World Cup title.

Best Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)

Best Young Player: Kylian Mbappe (France)

Fair Play Award: Spain

It was also the first World Cup to use the video assistant referee (VAR) system.

Next FIFA world cup (22nd edition) will be held in 2022 in Qatar. Last world cup in 2014 was held in Brazil which was won by Germany by defeating Argentina in the final.
